Industrial
Automation

Control systems that make machinery run consistently, safely and without constant intervention.

Automated production line in a bright modern manufacturing hall
SVC · 09Dubai, UAE
01Overview

Industrial Automation, delivered with method.

Design, installation and commissioning of automated control for machinery and process lines: controllers, drives, sensors, HMIs and safety functions delivered as one working system.

Automation removes variability. When a sequence, a temperature or a fill level is controlled by a system rather than by hand, the result is repeatable — shift after shift — and the people on the floor can focus on exceptions rather than routine.

WOL delivers automation as complete, working systems: the control logic, the panel it lives in, the field devices it reads, the drives it commands and the operator screens that make it usable. Our electrical and mechanical crews bring the same discipline to installation that our engineers bring to the design.

02Capabilities

What the crew brings to site.

Each capability is delivered by supervised crews working to written method statements, with hold points agreed before the work begins.

01

Control system design

Control philosophy, I/O lists, functional descriptions and panel design for new and upgraded systems.

02

Machine & process automation

Sequencing, interlocks and closed-loop control for machinery, packaging lines and process units.

03

Drives & motor control

Variable-speed drives, soft starters and motor control centres specified, installed and tuned.

04

Sensors & instrumentation

Selection and installation of the field devices that give the control system reliable data.

05

HMI & operator interfaces

Clear, consistent operator screens with alarms and diagnostics that make faults easy to find.

06

Safety functions

Emergency stops, guarding interlocks and safety relays implemented to the applicable standard.

04Technical approach

How the work is controlled.

Three principles that shape every scope — so the client can see what will happen, when, and how it will be checked.

1

Understand the process first

We walk the line with operators and maintenance before writing a line of logic, so the control reflects how the plant actually runs.

2

Design for the person at the panel

Screens, alarms and manual modes are built for the operator and the technician, not just the engineer.

3

Test before the site sees it

Logic and screens are simulated and factory-tested so commissioning on site is confirmation, not discovery.

05Safety & quality

Controls that travel with the crew.

Safety and quality arrangements apply to every scope. Specific certifications and third-party approvals are stated only where confirmed by WOL.

Permit-led execution

Every intervention starts inside the client's permit system.

CONTROL · 01

Safety functions designed and verified against the applicable machinery and process standards

CONTROL · 02

Panel construction and wiring to the relevant electrical codes with inspection records

CONTROL · 03

Functional test procedures signed off with the client before energisation

CONTROL · 04

Documented logic, I/O and drawings handed over as an as-built package

06Process

From scope to handover.

The same sequence on every engagement, so clients always know which stage the work is at.

01

Survey

Process walk-down, existing controls and constraints reviewed.

02

Specify

Control philosophy, I/O list and hardware selection agreed.

03

Build

Panels built, logic and screens developed and simulated.

04

Install

Panels, cabling and field devices installed and terminated.

05

Commission

Loop checks, functional tests and tuning on live equipment.

06

Hand over

Training, as-built documentation and support arrangements.

07FAQ

Common questions about automation.

Straight answers on how this service is scoped, mobilised and handed over.

Can you automate existing equipment rather than replacing it?

Often, yes. Many retrofits keep the mechanical equipment and replace only the controls, drives and sensors. A survey confirms what can be retained.

Which controller platforms do you work with?

We work with the major industrial controller platforms and generally recommend matching what the client already maintains on site, so spares and skills are consistent. [To be confirmed]

Do you provide the electrical installation as well as the design?

Yes. Panel building, cabling, terminations and field device installation are carried out by our own electrical and instrumentation crews.
